Long time PL user and was looking to use it for a hotel in Ventura and noticed the Marriott on this board at 3.5*. When I went to the PL website, it does not allow you to choose 3.5* and only goes to 3* now. I presume Marriott is still in the PL "pool" having won and stayed at their property numerous times in Woodland Hills (which by the way also dropped from 3.5 to 3). Not sure I'll be going the PL route on the Ventura hotel as they have Ventura lumped with Oxnard now and...

I started bidding lower, using free rebids, and got this hotel at $55. I received the usual message of add $14 to my bid when I was around $50, but ignored that and bid again the following day.

With taxes and fees, the total came to $68.63.

There are only two 3 star hotels in the Thousand Oaks Priceline sector, so if your bid is accepted, you'll get the Hyatt Westlake or Renaissance Agoura Hills...both nice properties. I bid $47 for the weekend prior to Thanksgiving and got the Renaissance on the first try...total for two nights including fees is $112.46
