I made a rookie PL mistake forgetting I could get upgraded from a 4* to a resort. I bid in Palm Springs and RM/IW/PD zone and landed the Hyatt GC. This Hyatt adds on alot of extra fees, like parking, but, nevertheless, it is a nice place. I love this hotel as it is in walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping on Palm Canyon Blvd.
I know there is a resort fee, but this hotel is worth it.

Started at $45. Added Indio and rebid $50. Added Rancho Mirage zone, thinking it was a free rebid because it only had 3*. Didn't realize that Priceline "upgraded" 4* bids to resort. Quite suprised when I got this resort in the Rancho Mirage zone. Wonder if I could have gotten it for less than $55 per night.

I never started lower than $55 and have gone up to $65 with out any luck. I did get a counter offer once at $63 to add $17 but declines. I was starting to think the good deals for the Hyatt and LaQuinta Resorts for this summer were not to be granted. Previous years post for the Indian Wells resorts such as the Hyatt went for as low as $55.

Should have gone lower because my last bid was $2.00 over my previous high bid of $50 for a 3.5*. As soon as I put in the $52 through the Amazing Bargains Link I got it.

Still $52 per night plus $14.42 for taxes and fees is $66.42. An excellent price for the upscale Zoso in downtown Palm Springs.
