Priceline didn't seem to have any inventory for 4* (Marriott) or 3.5* (Crowne Plaza) despite the 4* being on Hotwire at $113. I bid up to $100 4* and $72 3.5* using the copious free rebids for the San Mateo zone. Also bid up to $46 3* (Hotwire had a 3* for $54).

Got this 2.5* for $42 Sun-Thurs; Hotwire had what appears to be the same hotel (based on amenities) for $49. Total for 4 nights just over $201. This appears to be a popular Priceline hotel from the Tripadvisor reviews;...

Took several days to get a hotel in SF, could not get 3 1/2*-4* tried for most downtown areas bidding up to $105
so on last possible day tried airport area, starting around $56, winning at $70,
even though far from downotwn will still have to pay around $18 for parking
total $169/2 nights
