Bid for 3 days $70-$86, but rejected. Used BFT a/b link. Best rate was AAA $115. Second time I have had no luck, the last time was in August. Out of time because leave in morning, so booked the Blue Lake Casino for $85.50 per night. Stayed there last time and it is brand new. A good value.

Priceline offered free re-bid of $22 when I offered $100. Turned it down and re-bid at $110.

Was trying for a 3 1/2 star in San Luis Obispo and having no luck. Dropped down to 2 1/2 and then 2 and got accepted at the best Wesstern El Rancho. Was never expecting to get this hotel and the reviews are terrible. It is showing up as a 1* on every other site and wasn't in the bidding for travel list. The website price is $54 so really was a terrible deal. Oh well, its only one night so we'll make the best of it.

I bid $95 for 2.5* and got 3.5* Casa Munras. Cheapest room on website is $143.65 and CSAA wants $152.10. And I didn't have to reach out to Seaside either! My first but definitely not last Priceline gig. Thanks to Biddingfortravel.com for the help!

Right after my 2 failed attempts PL e-mailed me to give it another shot (no 24hr wait!) However bumping up to $70 didn't get me a room...we'll see...another e-mail? Doubt it.....

I (surprisingly) was able to submit several unsuccessful requests on 9/3 using various criteria combinations - for 4* and 3.5* hotels ranging from $85 to $110 per night. Not sure why I was able to submit the various requests without expanding the hotel quality and hotel area, as typically required.

Because I do not have flexibility on dates, I finally went with a relatively high bid (3.5* hotel for $140 per night) that was accepted. I used the A-B link.
