Had been bidding for weeks, making multiple rebids using the rebid tool from the Hotel section on this board. Often bid up to $88 without success. After seeing numerous bids accepted for this hotel for other dates, my first bid was accepted for $55, probably could have gotten it for a bit less but who cares! Best price elsewhere, $189 plus tax. Bid placed the AB link.

Was looking for a four star hotel in downtown. Wanted the Hilton Marina. Checked the website and lowest price available was $111 nonrefundable pre-booking.

On 10/27 I bid $58 for a four star hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Bid was rejected.

On 10/28-I increased my bid to $63 and the offer was accepted at the Fort Lauderdale Hilton Marina.

Now I know I probably didn't did not maximize the strategies suggested on this forum. But this time around, I did not...

I got this on my second bid. I was bidding "downtown" and started at $65. Got the offer to raise my bid $17 and win, but I had a free rebid in "airport north" which has nothing above 2*, so I used it and went to $70. And won! The weird thing is that the win is called "airport north", but the hotel is actually downtown as near as I can tell. Oh well, I love the Hyatt Place, and the location is perfect for me.

Required a few rooms before heading out for a cruise! Priceline was the answer - AGAIN!

Cheapest Rate on the Hilton Hotel website was $319.00 per night (plus tax), so bid $48.00 (after looking at 'going' rate on BiddingForTravel site) and was rejected and requested to add additional $18.00 to be accepted immediately. Rebid at $55.00 and was again rejected, so waited 24 hours and bid $58.00 and was accepted!

tried 35, 39, 44 then 48. Possibly 45, 46, 47 might work and there were plenty more opportunities to try. This was my first time at this attempt. I've stayed in this area before (cruise) and I would consider $50 to be an extremely good deal. Last time it was the Renissance for $50 but that was several years ago.
