Started bidding at $65 for 4* for Pike's Place - Downtown zone, which was rejected. I then added a dollar for each rebid and got the Hotel Monaco on the fourth free rebid for $69 a night--with taxes and fees $406.25 about $81 a night.

Hotel Monaco has some good reviews on TripAdvisor, and I am hopeful the location works for us. As soon as I get back, I'll do a review; but it sounds like a very nice hotel. On their website, the rooms go for $130 a night for those nights,...

For 6 nights, subtal $432 + $75.18 taxes and fees = $507.18 total.

Cheapest rate for the Sheraton was $133/night + taxes on other websites.

A bit perplexed as to why I have not been able to secure the $65 Westin Pike Place Hotel deal others have gotten for this hotel.. According to the Westin Website, they are running all kinds of specials for mid-December through the 31st stays, and I called about the AAA one--they quoted me $142.50; but when I balked, they offered an "On Line Rate" of $118.15. This time frame is normally weak booking time frame for city hotels.

According to earlier post. I was thinking I might get the Edgewater and need $72. But I found out Edgewater is sold out for that night. I then bid $65 right away and got Westin which is what I wanted any way.
