No luck. Also went up to $200 for a 1 star in TS and MTW. No luck on that either. Thanks to another poster tried Quickbook and got the Ameritania for $226 avg per night with no charge to cancel if 2 business days prior to reservation. As Sheryl suggested, I'll try Priceline again later in the month, but based on the falling value of the dollar, I expect a lot of Europeans will be flocking to the world's favorite playground this summer. On 5/5 the Ameritania rack rate for a Queen was 240,240,216,232,232,216 and 216 for the dates June 3,4,5,6,7,8,and 9. Today for those same dates they are asking 597, 297,297,327,287,267, and 267. As for the hotels available on Priceline, I've checked all the hotels available in the TS area for each specific date, (not just average during the stay) and I've noticed June 3,4,5 and 9th being the most expensive with the 3rd and 4th being sold out at the Marquis and W and 4th is sold out at the Renaissance. On the other hand June 6,7, and 8th (Fri Sat and Sun) are the cheapest at almost all of the hotels. I'll check them all in another few days, to see which way they are going. Broadway Luv, thanks for the comment. Actually I prefer the funky hotels which reek of history over the stylized versions recently built. For example the Milford is my favorite, despite the small rooms. Just give me an old hotel with an open window near TKTS and I'll be happy.

Unless it's crucial to you to stay at one hotel the entire time, you may want to split the stay up (especially if you're noticing the discrepancy on the 3rd-5th and 6th through 8th.) Posts: 13 (05/09/08 10:09 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	I agree Carrie, as there have been other wins for the weekend of June 6th through 8th, but for some reason the 9th is expensive and therefore I assume tight at all hotels. Don't ask me why Monday is tighter than Friday, but that appears to be the case. What I will do is bid for the 6th thru the 9th and perhaps they will throw in the 9th to get rid of Sunday the 8th which is readily available and cheapest of all nights. Then I'll have to deal with the 3rd through the 6th by either hoping they don't sell out and I can get a later bid or get another cancellable back up. The cancellable back up I have now is at a discount due to the 7 day stay.
