Then added 3.5 star and went to $69 and it got accepted. I was shocked cause I wasn't expecting to get a room today...I was just actually playing around because I just learned about the 'free rebids' but I'm happy with the result! I booked it thru amazing-bargains.com.

We don't recommend raising your bid while you lower your star level--it usually results in an overbid. I believe that's the case here. This hotel normally goes for $60 or $65. Do re-read our Hotels FAQ section and make sure you understand the free rebids so that next time you pay the absolute minimum possible! And thank you for using the A-B link.

I didn't feel like getting raped for parking so I told them that I chose the wrong area and they refunded my credit card. Now, I need to bid on a 4 star hotel in the LAX area (hoping I get the Sheraton or Westin)....I'm just trying to figure out the best way to get the best price cause I've seen those go for as low as $57-$61!

That's typical when PL does a refund like this. You'll have to pay for parking at the airport hotels as well, so be forewarned. In fact, that's true just about everywhere in L.A. You might find it just a little bit less than $30/nite, however.

Posts: 3 (11/07/09 7:11 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	Well they held one night until I rebid and showed them my new itinerary with the proper area I wanted...which I did. So that was good but they charged me a $25 change fee, which I feel is still worth it. I called the hotel and they have self parking with in and out privileges for about $12/night so that's good too
