Posts: 3 Mar 22 11 7:35 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None First bid - $85 (and Entertainment Book code added $20/6 nights or $3.33/nt) for a total bid of $88.33 for a Curacao "Resort" for 4/23-4/29/2011 and bid was rejected. Second bid 24 hours later - I bid $90 (and Entertainment Book code added $20/6 nights or $3.33/nt) for a total bid of $93.33 and bid was rejected. Really want one of the Resorts listed (Marriott Curacao Beach Resort and Emerald Casino or Hilton Curacao), however am a little nervous about getting the Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino (since it has the word Resort in it's name). Many hotels in Florida have Resort in the name but do not meet Priceline's requirements for the Resort rating. The same would apply in Curacao. Priceline bids are in whole dollars, so round down the bonus money to the nearest whole dollar. Posts: 61 Mar 23 11 11:03 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I recently got both Curacao Renaissance and Hilton for my friend (4 days each place) which are listed below. Both were 4* (not resort) and neither one charged a resort fee at check-out last week, so no worries. I had tried unsuccessfully during month of Feb. for Marriott up to $191 (for March 11-19/ spring break) and gave up. The Marriott is at Resort level and does charge a resort fee but it's a great hotel. Good luck.

Posts: 61 Mar 29 11 10:45 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Frugal - you won't have your choice with PL as you know. And now there's a Hyatt golf resort in the 4* mix at the other end of the island (on a bay - ugh) so that could me disappointing for what I personally want in Curacao. (see earlier 4* Hyatt post) The Marriott has a beautiful entrance with gardens/fountains and is nicer, which is why it's in the Resort level - with resort fees. Getting the Hilton for $100 at 4* was a deal for me, in my opinion, but it's an older hotel. The beach connects both hotels so you can walk quite a ways, and both have nice pools. Lastly, the Renaissance is a newer place but right in town, so very busy with an interesting fake beach and pool overlooking the ocean. Knowing what's in the 4* mix now - for me - I'd stay in Resort level only and pay more for the Marriott. I'd think you could get it for April. Please post your results.

In a week, check rates again and if it isn't higher, bit the same again. If it's higher, post the rate here first. Please place your future Priceline/Hotwire bids/purchases (unless you don't use the bonus money this time) through the link in my signature or by clicking the Priceline/Hotwire banners on the right side of the screen. And please keep Priceline in mind for your conventional travel bookings as well. I just wanted to point out that Priceline bids are in whole dollars so you may want to save the bonus money for when you can use the full amount if you have other hotel bidding plans this year.
