First counter-offer of $48 came at the $36 bid and then again on the $41, so I knew I was close which was why I dropped to the $1 increment. Had 4 free rebid zones so I knew I had plenty of rebid opportunities using permutations (15 free rebids). Total cost after fees/taxes=$55.19 Hotel website shows lowest price of $99/night. Address for this hotel is 785 Sh 121 Bypass, Lewisville, TX. Couldn't find any history in this forum for any successful bids in Lewisville, so the $30 starting bid was a shot in the dark. Hotel is rated #4 out of 23 in Lewisville. Thanks again biddingfortravel.com !!

It's very important to check available rates before you bid (even if there are none on the Hotel List) and not base your bid on what someone else got for a different date anyway. I think you got a good deal for a Saturday which frequently requires a higher bid. Did you remember to bid through our link to Priceline this time? Posts: 37 12/19/11 11:23 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Well, the $30 start wasn't a complete shot in the dark. I did know that hotel listings in the area were around $100-$120/night. So starting at $30 with $3 increments on 15 free rebids would have gotten me to $75 which was probably more than I would have been willing to pay without switching to a different primary zone first. And I always remember to use the link, even when launching new re-bids with iterations!
