I'm not going to post my failed bid, as I want to respect your rules. However, I'm going to use this space to let you know that as a lurker that uses your site (and I post my winning bids when I remember) you're not helping me, and I assume others like me. I can figure out for myself if someone is being unrealistic with their bid, I don't need them to commit 1 hour of research to help me figure that out. The most valuable part of this site for me is the listing of winning bids and the hotel list - failed bids would be an important aid as well, for me. Anyway, love your site, it's been helping me for years. Cheers!

Posts: 10299 May 4 12 2:37 PM Moderator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Without knowing the lowest available rates for hotels at the quality level being bid (or higher) for the exact dates of an offer, failed bid information is useless. To us, to you, and to everyone else. We always recommend that this information be determined in advance of bidding, so that bids are not wasted, and so an informed bidder will already have this information on hand. All we ask is that the figures be provided along with the failed bid information. This is most definitely not a "crazy amount of research", and it only takes a few minutes in advance of bidding. Without that information, the bid is as useless as any other off-topic posting, and costs real money to support on this site. As such, there is a clear and reasonable imperative to request that failed-bid postings include the information required to make them useful, and to delete those which are not. I'm glad you have found this site to be so useful over the "years" and I hope you will begin posting your WON bids as you obtain them, so that there is even more useful information for everyone else. Please place your Priceline/Hotwire bids/purchases through the link in my signature or by clicking the Priceline/Hotwire banners on the right side of the screen. And please keep Priceline in mind for your conventional travel bookings as well.
