This bid was made on Oct. 28th.
I really wanted to get the Marriot, both because as a Platinum Rewards member I almost always get a room upgrade, plus free breakfast & afternoon appetizers & snacks in Executive Lounge. As such, I bid $110 in Buenos Areas area, as it appeared from bidding history that this was the amount that usually won this hotel. Unfortunately I got the Sheraton.
Checked into the Sheraton last night, and though of course I didn't get upgraded and the buffet breakfast is US$28, this appears to be a new hotel, and in my opinion the rooms are much nicer! The two hotels are about 2 blocks from one another, so equally convenient.
I will need to bid on hotels in BA again, and wonder if bidding in one zone or another will increase my chances of getting the Liberator?
