Started bidding for a 3-start property in GRR area at $35. Was offered to hike my bid to $44. Instead, began raising my bid by $1 and adding new areas. (Some of them also have 3-star properties but they are always more expensive). At $39 I run out of any rebid areas.
I lowered my star requirement to 2.5 and got Country Inn & Suites. Great deal, as the hotel's lowest rate for those days is $99. (BTW, a 3-star Holiday Inn at GRR is going for $89.) I stayed at Country Inn & Suites before and loved their breakfast and swimming pool. PL says I got 58% off. Not sure what rate they used to figure out the percentage.
