Tough one. I needed two rooms over Thanksgiving in Princeton. I doubted any hotel would sell their rooms cheaply in advance, so I waited until the last day to try my luck.
I was happy to go to Princeton East or West at the 3.5 star level. The website rates were around $130 so I started around 60 percent off, that is at $50, using your link. (I also noted from another post that someone had recently got the Wyndham for $45, but they were booking for mid-November, not for Thanksgiving.)
No one was interested, so I gradually raised the bid using my free rebids. Once I got to $65, Priceline offered the rooms at $88. I refused, and kept bidding. Finally,Wyndham Forrestal accepted at $75.
Not the best deal, but cheaper than paying what the hotels were charging on their websites. Hotels.com has it for $118.
