Posts: 26 12/23/12 12:20 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None I'm preparing to bid on a nice hotel in DC and noticed a 5* option in the White House/Downtown zone on Priceline. Since I didn't see any 5* on the BFT hotel list I'm guessing this one is new or hasnt come up in a very long time So I thought I'd ask the BFT community if they knew which hotel is the 5*. Thanks! Posts: 26 12/23/12 8:33 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Priceline has four 5* hotels in DC zone. Willard, Ritz, Inter-Continental and Four Seasons. I didn't map them all out but I'm guessing it's The Willard on the Priceline bid list. Priceline listed the 5* average price as $233. I started at $80 and went up to $155 in $5 increments with no luck. I'll either try again later or go for a 4* since there a lot of nice hotels on that list.

Posts: 26 12/24/12 1:38 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	It's only a one night stay, a couples night away from the kids while the inlaws are in town for the holidays. - 12/27/12 I may take another stab at the 5* though I'm skeptical their acceptance point will drop and I don't want to go much higher since the 4* are quite nice and much cheaper.

Posts: 26 12/26/12 5:53 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tried again on the 5, bidding up to $160 with no luck. Express Deals didn't even list a 5 so they may not have been available for bidding. Decided to go for a 4* instead. At $74 Priceline countered with $90, so I split the difference and added $1 and won at $83. Mayflower Renaissance is a nice hotel and a steal at that price. Used the BFT link.
