Am I right in thinking that it would be cheaper to just bid for 3 rooms for 3 nights than to bid for the two scenarios separately?

I can't answer your specific question without knowing the exact dates and available rates for those dates. That's around the time of CES so if that's the case, that would throw a major wrench into your plans. I would recommend that you start at $43 for a 4* in the South Strip zone. If that is rejected, add the North Strip zone and raise to $46. If that is rejected, add the North Strip Vicinity zone and bid $48 and then raise $2 per free re-bid. Posts: 1428 Dec 29 12 1:27 PM Las Vegas Expert Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	ces wont be a problem as its basicaly over by then and avn convention was moved a few years ago so it frees up alot of rooms that weekend. if you dont mind ballys i know its not rated as a 4 star but its just as nice as ny ny or better,there regular rates are around 60 a nite and no resort fees. rates have been falling for your period of time so keep an eye on them.theres some great deals out there im booked at flamingo directly for around 25 a nite for that period.

Unfortunately, planning this trip involves dealing with multiple people with multiple drama. Still trying to get this sorted out. I think the biggest thing is that some people are wanting to do the Stratosphere jump. Staying at the Stratosphere gets us free tower admission ($18 a person). I think it would be better to just book Stratosphere for Friday and Saturday night since bidding at that star level for that area wouldn't guarantee getting Stratosphere. Am I right in thinking this or am I overlooking something? Then, I can just bid on two rooms for Sunday night.

You have no idea the additional time spent on my side due to one room not keeping their original commitment for max bid. Then, having to research prices to show them that I can get something much nicer for cheaper than their hotels.com price for a stinking 2 star hotel. Then, throwing in the Stratosphere jump on top of that. Everything WAS supposed to agreed upon before I started. You try to help people out but sometimes it isn't worth the effort. Hard to make everyone happy. Think about how mad I would have been if one of those bids went through and not getting reimbursed for that room because they backed out? That's why I gave an update without posting anything else, wasn't ready yet. Once again, my apologies and thank you for the help already given.

Posts: 1428 Dec 30 12 6:11 PM Las Vegas Expert Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	just so you know theres a bus you can get a 3 day pass for 20$ or 8 $ for 24 hours they run 24 hours a day .so you still might be better stay in the middle of the strip and just go theb strat for one day. p.s the half price tix both might have discounts for it.i thinkyou will be spend more money going to the main strip than you will save ,that just my 2 cents. p.ss ,except for the strat there is nothing around the hotel to do just keep that in mind. p.sss i think they just remolded they strat or part of it so if staying there i would inquire about them. if the strat works for u i would consider ballys you will much more centrally located and no resort fee should off set the jump fee. have fun at what ever you decide
