I bid $17 for a mid-size several weeks ago and then reserved a mid-size for $22 from Budget through Orbitz when that was rejected. I didn't bid again until today. $22 was still the lowest rate for any of the major rental car companies through Orbitz. Hotwire wanted $18.95 plus tax for mid-size, standard and full size.
I bid $16 for a full size which was rejected so then I bid $17 for a standard which was accepted. Standard is typically the same as full size at most rental car companies so I think this is probably the lowest that I could have done for this today.
