From the outside, this hotel looks rather plain. The rooms are typical Marriott decor. My husband used to work for Marriott, and we've found that the rooms are pretty standard throughout. But don't be deceived by this book's cover!
Once inside, she's a beauty. Through the lobby and out the back, along the waterway, is a lovely oasis. A beautiful pool secluded by palm trees, an inviting hot tub, and a great pool bar/restaurant that cooks up one of the best steak sandwiches you wll ever find.
The landscaping is meticulous, with lots of decking and walking paths. Just a very pretty setting.
We ate breakfast here, courtesy of the Embassy Suites.
They have a huge breakfast buffet, with cooked-to-order omelets and belgium waffles.
I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. We have previously stayed at the Marina Marriott Biscayne Bay in Miami and much prefer this one in Ft. Lauderdale.
