I just re-read all of the parameters for a three star hotel and this hotel may technically qualify. The only thing they may not have is room service. However, this is not a three star such as others I have experienced through priceline, as far as quality goes. According to the front desk clerk, priceline customers are given smaller rooms in an adjacent building. These rooms are so small that only one person can fit in the bathroom at a time. There is no air-conditioning vent in the bathroom/vanity area either. It stays very hot and humid in this area which also includes a tiny closet (the only one) for your clothes.
I was able to stand the room for about an hour until I had to call and ask for another room. The smell of mildew was so strong that we had to move . This was when I learned of the "pricline customers" getting the smaller rooms. The clerk was nice enough to move me to a "normal room" in the main building and it was much larger.
Still, there were stains on the carpet, linens were old and very thin, bathroom still had no a/c, pool area very small, just not the same feel of some of the other 3* hotels I have stayed at in Boca Raton. All of the rooms were accessible only from the outside (like a motel). There were no interior hallways whatsoever. I would have to say that this would be equivalent to holiday inn as far as the quality went. Even that would be generous.
