What a great new hotel for the Riverwalk. This is a suite hotel set up much like an Embassy Suite room with higher grade furnishings. The location is on the quiet south bank between the Westin and La Vallita amphitheatre.
There a wierd configurations in the design - like no interior stairs among the bottom three floors to get down to the river/dining area and up to check-in and business areas.
Our room was in between the river side and street side and we heard no significant noise, despite Trip Advisor review saying otherwise.
I have only two complaints. One is the $9.95 internet charge for wired and wireless. The only way to avoid it was to use one of the two desktop computers in the "business center" - a closet office on the second floor. The other is the food and drink. Both were of terrible quality. The $8 margaritas in the lobby bar were undrinkable. Although I have never sent back a bar drink, this was an exception. The bar manager canceled the charge and we left the drinks on the table. The room service desserts took an hour to arrive and without request the server said "no charge". But they were awful - no flavor and dry.
So feel very lucky to get this hotel for any price-especially the $65-$75 some recent PL users have won it. But eat and drink elsewhere.
One final tip. Avoid the expensive hotel parking and use the garage across the stree one block west. It's $12 a day and the hotel charges double.
