you get this place. The only things the Doubletree has over
the Red Lion are the free cookies and a bigger indoor pool!
Smiling, courteous staff; they had already chosen our rooms in
the Parkside Tower, the newest part of the facility. Beautiful
view of the city and the Spokane River. Free/convenient parking.
Rooms are not huge but roomy enough; nice condition and
convenient layout. The ironing board and hair dryer were expected, but the little built-in fridge was a nice surprise. Very quiet, in spite of several corporate parties going on during our stay. They have an exercise room plus newer indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. The latter are a bit of a hike from the Tower, but the hike is all indoors. The lobby has a cozy sitting area with a fireplace for visiting. Off the lobby is a restaurant but it's limited hours and expense put us off; but if you need an elegant place to eat that almost literally hangs over the river, this is the one for you. Convenient walk to Riverfront Park and the Spokane Arena and downtown shopping. Here's a link to my posted bid:
