We found nothing to complain about in 4 nights at this high-rise hotel next to Petco Park and at the foot of the Gaslamp District. It was convenient walking
distance to downtown, Horton Plaza, the Convention Center, and, of course, the ballpark and Gaslamp District. It is located at a trolley stop as well.
The staff were uniformly nice, the room clean and comfortable, parking convenient across the street (at half the price of valet parking) and check-in/out was a
breeze.

Took my wife and daughter for a Sea World trip. Bid 4* and was accepted in downtown at the Omni Hotel. It was right
across the street from the convention center and Petco Park (there is a bridge that connects from the Omni Hotel to Petco park too), and right at the foot of
the GasLamp District. Easy walking to all the bars and restaurants. Drive to Sea World only took us 10 minutes (if that).
The hotel was super clean and staff was very friendly. Even housekeeping was very nice and helpful. The room itself was very clean and looked nice. It was
located on the side away from the tracks and was very quiet. We didn't hear anything (person, vehicle, train, anything). Came with a DVD player and what
looked to be a video game system of some kind (didn't use that). It had coffee maker, ironing board, iron, safe, and other standard ammenities you would
expect from 3* and up. You can add a fridge to your room for a $25/night fee. You can also ask for a treadmill sent to your room so you can work out there
instead of the gym. I think that costs about $25 too IIRC. Didn't use either of those services. The gym on the sixth floor looked nice (mainly cardio
machines) and the pool area looked fancy at night (had a fire pit near it). There is a Morsel's coffee shop in the lobby and McCormick and Schmidt's
restaurant on the first floor. Food was superb but a little pricey (standard for M&Ss). I couldn't find a vending machine on my floor or anywhere in
the hotel when I looked.
They have valet parking for $30/night with in&out privileges. There is also an Ace parking structure directly
across the street to the north (6th & L St. Parkade). It cost me $10 for 15hrs (5:00pm - 10:00am) on the first
night and $8 for 14hrs (7:30pm - 10:00am) on the second night. I stayed on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
All in all, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
