Did some research on going rates for my dates and then started bidding at $90 for a 3* in the Financial District for one night - 9/5/08. Bid was rejected
but was counteroffered to raise my bid by $22. Declined, added free re-bid zone and tried $97. Bid accepted at 3* Marriott Long Wharf. Was surprised to get
this hotel - was fairly sure I would end up with the Club Quarters, which was showing a web rate of $114. Lowest price for Marriott Long Wharf for 9/5/08 is
$299 per night so I got a good deal. Looks like it's been quite a while since a winning bid was posted for this hotel.
